Little Brownie Bakers Creates Centennial Cookie
Savannah Smiles Cookie

Little Brownie Bakers announces a cookie to celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouting. It will tribute Juliette Low's birthplace in Savannah, GA and the Brownie Smile Song.

The new cookie is called Savannah Smiles. It is a crescent-shaped, lemon flavored cookie that is dusted with powdered sugar and bursting with zesty lemon flavor. Little Brownie Bakers featured this cookie once before in their line-up as the Lemon Cooler.

The Savannah Smiles packaging will feature photos of Brownie Girl Scouts and will include an inset of the Juliette Low Birthplace in Savannah, GA. The box will feature a tribute to the Girl Scouts 100th Anniversary on the side of the box.

This cookie replaces the Lemon Chalet Creme in Little Brownie Baker's cookie line up. Some Girl Scout councils will be selling the Super Six cookies next year. Little Brownie Bakers is piloting the Super Six program with just a few councils so other councils will continue to have eight cookies to sell.

While ABC Bakers carries the Lemonades cookies, there is no word whether the Savannah Smiles cookie, or a version of it, will replace Lemonades.

Brownie Smile Song

Be sure to teach your Brownies the Brownie Smile Song before cookie time. It is sure to be requested by many Savannah Smiles cookie customers. Here are the lyrics:

I have something in my pocket
That belongs across my face.

I keep it very close to me,
In a most convenient place.

I bet you'll never guess it
If you guess a long, long while,

So I'll take it out and put it on.
It's a great big Brownie smile

Savannah Smiles Movie Link:

Check out this movie with the same name. There is no Girl Scout reference or inspiration, but it does share the name of the new cookie: Savannah Smiles. This comedy was released in 1982, directed by Pierre De Moro, and rated PG. It is not a well-known '80's movie, but it is a great family comedy that could be viewed by Girl Scouts during a movie night fundraiser before cookie sales. Like the Brownie Smile Song, there is sure to be many references to the movie at cookie booths.

I hope we have them here in Michigan. There are a lot of people that will buy the Savannah Smiles. When we had a cookie like this years ago people just loved them. My troop has had many of people asking for them. WAY TO GO LITTLE BROWNIE BAKERS!!!!!!!!!!
