On February 10, Girl Scouts of the USA and Kraft foods held a Let’s Move! townhall meeting focused on healthy living. The event featured a panel discussion with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, President of Kraft Global Wellness Rhonda Jordan, and CEO of Girl Scouts Kathy Cloninger. Also featured, via satellite, were Girl Scouts across the country in DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.

After introductions, Girl Scouts in the Chicago Kraft kitchen were broadcasted live making three delicious and healthy after-school snacks. Afterwards, all three panelists answered a variety of questions from girls in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and D.C. Girl Scouts in the audience.

In closing, Girl Scouts in the audience got a chance to eat the healthy snacks highlighted by the Chicago Girl Scouts and participated in Zumba dance exercises. For more information:

Thank you, GSUSA, for including Alumnae in your important work to help girls develop courage, confidence and character, make the world a better place and become responsible citizens of the world. It is important for alumnae to continue their association with the organization that has given meaning to our lives and encourages us to share that passion with young leaders and girls in the movement; we have much to offer.
