For the second year, the Girl Scouts of Connecticut have asked Simsbury businesswoman Lisa Wilson-Foley to attend Girl Scout CEO Camp. Dozens of Girl Scouts attend the three-day outing at Camp Laurel and learn about job possibilities and leadership skills from a select group of Connecticut business CEO’s. This year Wilson-Foley, who is also running as a Republican for Lieutenant Governor, will have another skill to impart to the teenagers-how to run for elected office.
"Mentoring young women is the best part of being a successful business owner and leader. " says Wilson-Foley. "It is so enjoyable and important to hand wisdom to the future generation then watch them take what they’ve learned and turn it into their own unique skill set.”
The Girl Scouts of Connecticut, a girl empowerment organization, is dedicated to lifelong success through values-based leadership development and personal growth.
Wilson-Foley says. "This is a time to speak one on one with bright, capable young women who are here because they want to be Connecticut’s future leaders. I am honored that I can spend these next few days sharing with them some of the important lessons I’ve learned.
