Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania will be hosting a Leadership Breakfast Seminar on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. with the program occurring from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Our keynote speaker will be Michael Kumer, Executive Director of Duquesne University's Nonprofit Leadership Institute and Associate Dean of the University's School of Leadership and Professional Advancement. Mr. Kumer is an energetic and inspiring speaker, as well as an exceptional facilitator, often called upon to help organizations achieve consensus. He is enthusiastic about leadership and organizational excellence. With this reputation, his presentations are much in demand on the regional and national level.
Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania will also feature two Girl Scout Gold Awardees, Laura Bertoni and Lizzie Fitzgerald; both from Peters Township High School. They will speak about their Gold Award projects and the leadership skills they attained through their Girl Scout experiences.
Tickets are $35 per person. All proceeds benefit girl leadership programs in 27 western Pennsylvania counties. In addition, one credit for ACT 48 can be earned by attending this seminar. All interested teachers/administration professionals can enter their personal identification number on the roster at the registration table for credit.
